HOT D.I.Y. RENOS

From: Simon and Julie M

Hi all

Good news! Our Do-it-yourself renovations have proved so profitable that we are now out of the rat race.

For those who don't like to get their hands dirty I would like to say thank you for leaving more opportunity for us.

There is an old saying "you get good at whatever you practice".

Best regards
Julie and Simon

And as Geoff Doidge and Paul Eslick (QLD renovators bigtime) say:
WHERE THERE'S YUCKS THERE'S BUCKS!

Hi Jacque
What about "one man's trash is another man's treasure!"
ps Sorry for the gender incorrectness.

I was going to reply to Colin's post ("Renos - not so hot as you think!") but decided I'd rather reply to this one (the glass is half full, as Michael says).

I guess you guys feel pretty cool being out of the rat race now.

Cooler than sitting in AC, I bet.

Well done and great to hear an inspiring story.

Simon

Thanks for all the congrats and cheery responses.

Our post is to keep pointing out the positives. We are here to encourage others to succeed also - no matter what your strategy - hands dirty or sitting in a/c.

This forum and the people we have met through it are part of our success story.

Congratulations Simon and Julie........wonderful to hear success stories like that......

Hope I'm not shopping for incontinence pads and a wheelchair before I can even very quietly say that to myself one day.....

Alan
I love your cold beer story from previous post. I'll bet your garden will be beautiful. There's more to renovating than just dollars.
