Hot Water systems in Elizabeth Downs.

It is my understanding that in the suburb Elizabeth Downs in SA there is no gas connection. Therefore as the state government is phasing electrical hot water systems out those with this system in Elizabeth Downs will need to go solar as the only alternative once there electrical system packs it in. So my question for comment from anyone with knowledge is firstly does Elizabeth Downs have gas connected. If yes why do I never see any gas meters and all the houses I have attended let alone my own IP does not have gas. Secondly assuming this is true that there is no gas do I really have to fork out thousands of dollars to go solar? Any other suggestions/ideas? Anyone else in the same boat. Thanks in anticipation, any ideas would be appreciated. Matthew

Matthew, Elizabeth Downs does have gas. Obviously I can't say for certain every single house and what issues each may have, but again - Eliz Downs is on the gas grid.
