House and Land packages

Hi Guys,

My partner and I are looking at buying our first home in Mittagong. We are thinking of doing a house and land package, live in it for 6 months and then rent it out and move back home so we can pay extra off it and then buy something else. What are your thoughts on house and land as investments? Where else along the Campbelltown to Mittagong corridoor can you suggest to buy? We want something that is going to rent easily and have good long term gains. Any help would be appreciated!

H&L is fine just make sure you don't over/under capitalise as this can cost you in the long run.

capital gain is rare in the short to medium term. Make sure you arrange finance for both the house and land together, prior to land finance clause expiry.
