How are often should you catch up with the business partners

If you were developing some business relationships, how often do you think you need to catch up to build up good rapport with those people.

Personally I find face-to-face social interactions work really well for getting to know people.

Anyone else here in business with other people?
How do you build and maintain those relationships?

Business relationship or business partners? they are two different things.

Business partners:
- live with one (see and communicate daily)
- the other is in Kazakhstan (see 1-2 times a year and communicate weekly)

Business relationships
- some local in Perth (I see these about once a month, and communicate about once a fortnight)
- some interstate (I see 1-2 times a year but converse regularly)

Depends entirely on the type and nature of the business.

As WM says are we talking business partners - or business relationships?

I have business relationships who I doubt I would meet once/year. Though the phone line and email is always open.
At other times when there is activity I would speak to the person more than my wife.

By business partner lives in another country - though we email/message weekly and chat regularly. Again - if a discussion needs to take place it happens, or a face to face meeting held then a flight is organised.
Sometimes we even have third person discussions on random internet forums.
