How much does a decent cleaner charge per hour?

How much do you pay your cleaner per hour? Is that cash in hand or declared?

i was paying $20/hr cash - but i also paid her 10 weeks in advance at a time

Now a good cleaner would charge 20 to 25 per hour cash BUT you will have to be very specific on what you want them to do . Windows ,oven will be extra and most dont do outside like sweep path.patio. If you want them to dust/clean skirting boards them make sure you ask them to do it.

Dont bother supplying cleaning chemicals cos they will have their favorite but its good if you have a good vac and mop they can use.
It takes a bit to find a cleaner that suits you so be patient.

I pay $20 , its a friend of my mother, she does a good job. Better when i'm not at home, if i'm at home she likes to stop and chat.

Based on how hard it is to find and keep a good cleaner, I reckon they could charge a lot more... after over a decade of trying, I've decided it's more effort to find/train/retain a cleaner than to do the actual cleaning! (Or live with the dirt )
