How to earn $60k for doing a few phone calls a few hours driving

Hi Nathan,

Well done with the work.

A couple of questions with the painting:

- What type of gun do you use?
- Do you spray the ceilings and walls the same colour? if not, how do you ensure the overspray doesn't get on the white ceiling when doing the walls or vice versa?
- how do you ensure the kitchen doesn't get paint on it when spraying the ceiling and walls in there?

I'm just starting my first reno on a block of units I own in a similar regional town. I have a spray tanning business (funny I know) and reckon I could spray paint my units to save on costs.
Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for the questions,

I just use a standard industrial gun. They cost around $1500-$2500 for a semi decent one, dont buy a cheapie off ebay they explode.

In these cirmstances for a quick job I use 1 colour, i am using whisper white at present. However I generally spray roof white with a slight tint, and the walls whisper white, then cut in about 6 inches up top.

You masking tape everything up. Windows, rooms, lights, fixtures and fittings(yes even the kitchen appliances).

I might take a video of the airless if i head out there on the weekend.

Anyone can spray with airless.

which brand of spray gun did you have that blew up recently Nathan?
I am looking for one now and won't buy it. :)
and how many hours do you think it did?

Thanks for the info Nathan.

Would LOVE to see a video of the spray painting in action if you get around to it this weekend. (Saw your fb status, hope someone takes you up on your offer and you get out there)

Thanks again, I'm sure I will be asking you more questions once I decide what to do with my place )http://www.somersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?p=692635#post692635
