How to find out the sold price? Can't find on internet

How do you find the sold price, if it's not listed on the internet?

Situation:
- Both townhouses 2 and 3 are on the same listing. They are identical.
- Agent tells me townhouse 2 sold for $495k.
- Owner of townhouse 4 tells me that's BS, it sold for $479k.
- The sold price of townhouse 2 is NOWHERE on the internet, maybe because it's on the same listing as townhouse 3 which hasn't sold. Maybe that means they don't have to disclose it yet?
- I want proof of the sold price, let the agent KNOW that I know the sold price and that my offer is in line with this price!

Possible ideas:
- Can I ask the agent for PROOF of townhouse 2 sold price? Can that be legally done?
- Is there any other official registry where I can find out the sold price?

Thanks everyone :)

Has the sale settled yet? If not, the price won't always be available.

Free sold prices can be found in sold searches on http://house.ksou.cn/ or Realestate.com.au.

If not there, you may need to look at pricefinder or RP Data. If you PM me the address I can check rp data for you.

But remember you don't have to provide him proof - just tell him "that buyer paid too much for his own reasons, and purchased for different reasons to me"
