How to sell timber house for removal

Hi,
We are looking to rebuild and have an lovely old timber house that is going to be demolished. A friend suggested looking at selling the existing house to someone to remove. Does anyone have any thoughts, or experience with this sort of thing?

Give a house mover a call and get advice.

My understanding is with the new requirements from Roads and Maritime which
decreased the actual width they can now carry in NSW it makes most unviable
as where in the past they could have removed in two splits , it now requires
a third.
Every bit of asbestos also has to be removed before it crosses the footpath.
