So does it mean....if you get married in VIC and then move back to Sydney, you will still be bound by the pre-nup?

It's alright Michael.

We know who has their hands on your assets.

The real question is:

Are there still any honest women out there, and are all men greedy?

Thank goodness we all still love and need each other!

Cheers John :)
What I'd like to know is a) how Jodee Rich managed his mid-nup without being done for asset stripping and b) how a pre-nup would stand up to the Family Court which seems able to unravel most other structures with ease.

I suspect it's a classic case of :

It's not what you know it's who you know!!!

I'm with u 100% Shaun. Prenups are bullshit. If u need them then don't get married. Simple.

"Just before I say the words, could you sign here for me??"

Whatever happened to better or worse, richer or poorer?? Or to death do us part??

That's what marriage is about. Not money.

I would suggest, given your previous post BR that an investment strategy based around making no money would be your safest option.

For those who marry for LOVE, you may love the person but how do you know if he/she loves you?

One of my workmates' sister-in-law divorced her husband because one of her friends told her that "you can make a lot of money getting divorced. you get money from your husband and if you have kids you get government subsidies as well! and this is how I make money!". The friend is a single mom with 4 kids to 4 different husbands - so how do you know the person your in love with is not marrying you just to have their hands on your assets?

I think pre-nup and mid-nup do prove real love. If you really love the person, would you care to sign it?

Is that sex Rix, or money? Or did you need her money to get sex? Bit hard to work out what you mean in that post...
