If I was going to buy more property, it would be one of these....

Well, I'm not in the position to purchase another property (and it's probably not the right time to buy in Melbourne) but if I was, it would be from this list....

How about anyone else, do you actively browse re.com.au and spot missed opportunities? After reading of Nathan's success, many of my new searches include the term "fire damaged".

Been doing that for the last 3 hours, and discussing with a mate which auctions we're going to next week. Not looking at anythign that can't have value added (quick reno) or higher density build like a MUD (multi unit dwelling).

I need a faster internet link though. Jumping between realestate.com (and others), rpdata, brisbane council website, and nearmaps can be frustratingly slow.

I don't expect the Brisbane market to go backwards, unless European banks freeze.
Am thinking more like growth of 6-8% for the Brisbane 2010 median.

Thx for the research, i can't see anywhere for a key word search in re.com but I can see it in domain.com

I dont know about John but I use Google advanced search, use the domain name search with RE.com.au etc right upto the state and suburb included. Then add your search term as well, usually just 'damaged' does it.

Hi toe,
Would u mind typing out a typical line you would use please?
Thx.

That's right, Google advanced search is it.

It helps with searching for houses with bungalows too.

The search line below looks at houses that have a bungalow in the suburbs of ferntree gully or Boronia, but filters out sold properties and californian bungalows. I use S.T.C.A as well because it normally indicates dual occ potential.

bungalow S.T.C.A. "ferntree gully" OR boronia -sold -californian site:realestate.com.au
