Increasing Rent on Periodic lease

If your fixed term tenancy agreement expires and you are on a periodic agreement and a new price increase comes in with the 60day notice. Does this price increase contract have to be signed to take affect? Or does it just automatically take affect after the 60 days notice period has expired? This is in WA by the way

Na, If that happened tenants would never sign the new lease. It automatically takes affect regardless of if they sign a new lease or not.
