Insurance cover for window breakage ?

Hi,

One of my IP's was broken into recently by way of a brick through a sliding glass door. Is the replacement of the glass something building or landlords insurance would cover ? I will be looking in the policy but would like to hear from anybody with similar experiences ?

it should be covered - but depending on how much your excess is and any "no claim bonus's" you might lose - might not be worth claiming.

Yes, its generally covered under the building insurance, unless they have a crappy policy that has optional glass cover. So yes, claim under Building cover. - Seems to be a bit of confusion on terms as well, I note you guys use Landords to mean "rent default" cover, whereas we use it to describe a specialist IP policy that covers may or may not cover rent default..
