Insurance - help needed

I have just informed that AMP will not be renewing my insurance but have no explanation yet.

WHen i asked the PM and broker about a claim that the PM was to lodge, she said she did not think it would effect my premium. It was for motor burnout and they did a good job and covered most of the costs of the new one including the new piping, so I was very happy. The premium was high but it seemed worth it. The claim was delayed due to PM fault and I finally got the cheque 2 weeks ago.

Anyway...now I am told that I will have to pay almost double with another company.

Currently very unwell and not handling decisions, phone calls etc. I was wondering if there was anyone willing to help me try to find a good deal on insurance and or a change to property manager.

Sorry if thats a bit jumbled........brain is just not working well.

Regards
Victoria

Terri Scheer have been highly recommended to me by a number of the property managers I speak to lately. They specialise in insurance for property investors. I'm seriously thinking of going with them especially for the next property deal that I'm currently working on.

To help you out, here's the Terri Scheer website.

With regards to EBM, I think I've only slightly heard of them, but haven't used them before. I searched them up on Google, and it was hard when I simply typed EBM. But I eventually found them, and you can check the EBM website here.

EBM Insurance Brokers is the company name, the products are known as RentCover and have been around now for over 20 years, with almost 100,000 landlords insured. The products are used by thousands of real estate agents throughout Australia. The best website to use is the RentCover specific site.

I was a little intrigued that you had any trouble finding us with a straight "EBM" search, that search generally brings us up number 1 without a problem, but as mentioned, the RentCover site is the better one to use for this.

In regard to the topic though, I've commented in Victoria's later thread on this subject so I think (hope) she's now on track with a solution that will meet her needs.
