Anyone had any negative claims experience with the NAB's Residential Investor Insurance? I'm considering moving my business across to this policy, it offers longer coverage on non-payment and abscondings than my current policies.

I just arranged combined building and landlord's protection through CGU using St George Bank as the broker. My policy cost me about $100 less than going through CGU / AON using my Managing Agent as a broker. Go figure!! Same policy, same insurers. If you call CGU direct, its a different price again.

I don't even bank with St George (any more), but they are happy to handle all my insurance broking. I have all my property policies with them.

Anyone want a phone number to compare??

Pierre

Hello Pierre & All

Go figure!....unbelievable. It truly is a twisted world. It really makes you wonder about how else the business world shafts us on an everyday basis.

Three different fee structures depending on which avenue you take. Just shows you need to do the legwork to avoid becoming a "shaftee".

Pierre, how did you come across the St George arrangement? I took an option with CGU via my property manager simply on a favourable comparison to my earlier policies through WMG and SGIO.

As they are up for renewal soon I will follow up more the wiser....another score for the forum!!

Cheers Ian
