Landlord's Insurance

I notice in the archive a post regarding EBM from a Greg who had some problems with them. I am shopping around for insurance on my first IP, and have had this recommended by an agent.

Has anyone else out there had problems or changed from EBM? The agent is talking around $210 per year for this cover. He mentioned that it's good as it covers both deliberate & accidental damage.

Any thoughts appreciated.

You could try Colonial. They have a Landlord's Cover package that is underwritten by CIC Insurance. I use them on my properties. I have found their premiums to be very competitive. But I have not had the need, to date, to make a claim, so I cannot vouch for their service at claim time.
