Hi,

9 months ago, I was one of the owner occupied apartment which was affected by the fire

The body corp looked after the repairs. They wanted $70 to test my AC unit and if it was not worth repairing, they wanted another $350 to dispose the unit. The wall of the AC unit, was water damaged by the fire and it was reconstructued and the whole apartment repainted. I advised them to reinstate the AC unit back to its original condition and not to test it.

Now that that apartment is ready to be reoccupied, i have been advised by the insurance company to reinstate the AC back to its original condition and put back on the wall, the cost will have to by covered by the contents insurance. The AC unit has been removed and left on my balcony.

Can anyone ahead any light on this matter?
