I don't understand this point. It's not PC to have misgivings about the way greed and selfishness will potentially impact future generations. Shell want to drill for oil in the Arctic, and we're destroying tracts of prime land with things such as coal seam gas, all in the name of creating more energy we probably don't need, and more profits. 100 years from now I suspect they'll look back at us and say "They wiped out entire species and vast rainforests so they could wipe their bums with paper?!"
Exactly. Many like Fence like to bracket anyone that criticizes the wonton destruction and wasteful resource depletion as a bunch of wingers. The 'just get on with' crowd give me the guts ache.
Fence needs to understand how his action or inaction as the case may be actually affects others. Even the process of wealth creation disadvantages someone else.
