One comment I heard from a potential investor was that they 'assumed' that
Custodian provided a general property investment service and were therefore
relatively 'impartial'.
Unless things have changed, my understanding is that Custodian is still the
marketing arm of JFK and therefore their 'impartiality' may not necessarily
be a high point. They buy land, build and sell their stuff. Mainly in
Queensland I think. Doesn't necessarily mean their stuff isn't any good and
they don't provide a good service but you should definitely do all your own
independent checks along the way(as you always should!). If they say they'll
build a house to a certain layout, make sure it's all in writing and locked
down. If for example, they say they'll only sell to a certain percentage of
owner occupiers, make sure you have it in writing etc etc.
Personally, I've heard some good and some so-so things about Custodian.
Having never personally dealt with them I can't comment from personal
experience and as 'Property Investigator' will tell you, care must be taken
in a Forum such as this with providing specific comment.
Might I suggest if you post with an e-mail address next time you may get
