Yes, you're right - in fact the actual percentage was like 75% to 80%. At the time I wrote this, it seemed "7% get in and 80% get out" sounded wrong to me. (Too many beers ..???)

Peter Waxman's book "Investing in Residential Property - Understanding the Market in the New Millenium" 4th edition - published 2000 is excellent for all these sort of stats and analysis - however - has no further up to date data on proprtion of investors etc since 1997 - see I told you the census was useful and we should all fill it in!!! We'll have to wait for the new results to come through.
