Bloody kmart always selling these inefficient heaters that's like $14. (2000W) in areas where there is a lot of international students renting...

Electricity is included in the rent but students abuse the heck out of these 2000W heaters. Racking in $35-40 in electricity bill a week. Kmart knows this but does it to make a small profit like 32c worth of profit at the same time f*** up all the landlords that rent on a per room basis in the area.... is there a way to boycott Kmart and get them to remove the stock :mad::mad:

if landlords stick together we might have a chance. :p

You're fully lucky they're ONLY running those heaters. If I had free electricity I'd cut sick.

Put in a triple decker bunk bed and get another body to pay for it.

luckily youve saved thousands by doing your own depreciation schedules so electricity bills shouldnt be an issue

They save money on electricity by not using the dryer and hanging the clothes on the balcony anyways

You should buy the tenants their own heaters, then add them to your depreciation schedules.

    • Don't run a student accomodation setup
    • Provide heating in student accomodation.

There's nothing wrong with Kmart selling cheap basic heating options - theres hundreds of different stores which do this.

Yes, because the only market KMart has for heaters in winter is student accomodation landlords.

$40 a week, 12 weeks of winter. Don't like it? Go buy your tenants some better heaters.

Why not simply do some research and find a heater that has a lower electricity consumption? From there you can find how who sells that heater.
