Land tax refundable?

I've sold a piece of land in Qld which puts my total land value under the minimum taxable threshold. Since I've paid land tax for this year am I allowed to claim back a portion of it?

I dont think so.......I thought its payable on what ever holdings you have midnight on set date each year.

From Qld Revenue Office website: https://www.osr.qld.gov.au/land-tax/

The Land Tax Act 2010 does not allow for apportionment. If you are the registered owner as at 30 June, then you are the liable party for the full financial year.

Land Tax is "as at" the taxing date. Its not based on the period of ownership like income tax. I have seen some people buy a property and due to delayed settlement they get smacked with the tax because the contract didn't allow for it.
