Can anyone recommend where to get good landlord insurance. In the previous posts CGU has been mentioned. But from my past dealing with CGU, they are HOPELESS.

Why...what was wrong with CGU? I am about to submit a claim with them, so would love some advanced warning.

Cheers

I have found CGU to be very good. Only last month I submitted a claim along with all the relevant paperwork and a week and a half later I had a cheque for the whole claim in the post.

I was quite impressed as I didn't think it would be so easy.

If you have a NAB Loan you can get NAB Landlord Insurance which is an all-in-one policy (building, contents (carpets etc not personal effects) with the landlord cover built in (underwriter is Allianz). Seemed to be similar level of landlord cover to CGU. Price seemed good compared with having a separate landlord policy. You can pay monthly as well. Have never had to claim so far, so can't comment on that aspect.
