Looking for games

I can't seem to find any interesting games for the iPad. I have "Words with Friends" and "solitaire" I'm looking for something interesting and stimulating also something I can challenge friends with.
I'm not into the candy crush type stuff either.

Any suggestions? What do you play?

Family Guy The Quest for Stuff is fun. Not sure whether it meets your criteria of stimulating though.

"Boom" (a little guy in a motorised wheel who has to get around a course and pick up coins - plays way better than it sounds)

Angry Birds... maybe a little repetitive.

Kingdom Rush - but I don't think it has friend challenges.

Cover Orange - surprisingly addictive puzzle game (again no friends)

Mad Skills Motocross 2

That's about it on mine.

Is fruit ninja still cool? I've wasted hours playing that on planes.

Pity you don't have an Android tablet, I have been playing Heroes of Might And Magic III on mine. HOMM3 fans rejoice!

But there are ports of Nethack to the iPad. Sure its a solo game, but many many hours of fun.
