I'd go with a basic round glass globe.
Should be able to pick them up at Bunnings, easily replaced.

As the IPs that we own/control come up and require lights fixed or replaced, we have been having our sparkie fit batten fittings. The range of DIY lights that slip over batten fittings these days is so much better than ten years ago.
With simple batten fittings, changing a broken light fixture doesn't require a sparkie.
