Melbourne Leads House Price Surge

Actually the lead story in the Age this a.m. Melbourne median apparently up 6.1% & Sydney 5.2%.

The most dramatic price rises have been away from the centre of Melbourne, in Hume in the west, eastern outer Melbourne and Frankston.

Good old Frankston hey. That's an old favourite on Somersoft and would have done a lot of our community some big favours recently.

I would have bought there if I didn't already have my money tied up doing my Sydney development. Maybe once she's done I'll leverage off that created equity for some passive buy and hold interstate. Got to diversify a bit and not have all my assets in Sydney. Melbourne still looks good to me, and maybe parts of Brisbane...
