Mining Influence Overlay

A friend is looking at a brick and tile approx. 15 - 18 year old property in Brisbane and was advised of the above. Asked me if I knew what this was but I've never come across this before so thought I'd put out here to find out more.

The council advised there may be subsidence issues because of the mining overlay but the building and pest report did not bring up anything.

Any thoughts to share around this will be appreciated and will help her taking a decision.

Thanks

Applications for planning approval within ?mining influence
constrained areas? need to have a geotechnical assessment
report prepared by a suitably qualified and experienced
person. The geotechnical report is to be submitted by the
applicant in support of the application and is subsequently
reviewed by Councils? Development Engineers and may be
subject to further review by another independent
geotechnical expert.

All applications for planning approval within ?mining influence
constrained areas? are also now being referred to the
Department of Mines and Energy for comment and advice.
