More pain for coking coal industry

This is a result of over supply. All the mines are holding out seeing who will close first. (Hopefully US ones)Once supply dwindles the price goes up.

I saw an article in the smh of some knob saying china's new regulation regarding coal quality will hurt Aus. Quite the opposite most nsw and qld coal is very high quality and this will push our product in front of others.

Coal prices will improve. just need the crystal ball for when. and then I'll buy 20 properties in muswellbrook ;)

The new China rules relate to thermal coal... a very different product to coking coal. It's like comparing apples and oranges literally, the only thing they have in common is they're both fruits.

Yes correct. But they are both sold by the fruit man. And if he can sell more of either at a higher price it's a win.
Most coal miners are diverse and produce both. Often out of the same pit. Different seams.
