any info from the cocktail party yet ?

We attended the Sydney Cocktail Party last night and had a great night. Caught up with with some great people we hadn't seen for a while and met some new ones. :)
As usual, had to dash off early because of the kids though. :(

Apart from taking away a Prospectus, it was hard not to also take away a will for Steve and his Company to succeed in this latest endeavour.

I guess we can discuss the various pros and cons of the actual investment over the coming weeks here and elsewhere. However, from an initial and purely emotive point of view, to see the effort that Steve has personally put into going from a startup a bit over two years ago to now almost having $60mil FUM is inspirational to say the least.

It would be a great Australian story to see this personal effort and the resultant company achieve its vision. It still has some significant challenges, however I think most who were there last night would say there is a strong will and commitment by those involved to succeed.

Personally, I doubt we'll have the spare funds this year to make a direct investment, but regardless whether we own a share of the 'horse' or not, if for no other reason than I love to see personal visions achieved, we'll certainly be on the rails cheering it along. Go you good thing! :D

:)

I really enjoyed myself last night and am getting very interested in the whole Navra scene.

Was great catching up with some old Somersoft friends. Ani, Jax, SC and especially Yuch to name a few.

Cheers,

Hehe :) I'm right alongside you there, Alan :)
Steve's passion and vision, as well as his experience and talent with the trading system, is truly inspiring and, for such a young and conservative fund, it's going great guns. I can see the aim of reaching $300m within 3 yrs as a totally realistic and achievable goal and wouldn't be at all surprised to see it occur even sooner.

Simon, I know what you meant by "old"!!
Seech is just getting grumpy- must be going through that male menopause stage ;) ;)
Was great to catch up- just a pity we couldn't have spent longer socialising!
Also looking forward to seeing lots of current Navra clients over at the new forum www.invested.com.au come August 15th :)

G'day Alan H

Was the prospectus for shares in Navrainvest or to do with the proposed Dow fund?

Regards

Hi Sleeper.

Yes.........shares in NavraInvest.

The aim is to issue 2,000,000 new shares at $2.50. It gets a little more complicated in that so as not to dilute the existing shareholder benefits, Steve has effectively 'donated' back 2mil of his shares. This is done by producing a class of shares called e-class shares that for all intents and purposes become worthless except for some basic voting rights in the case of windup etc. These 2mil shares basically disappear and the new 2mil shares being offered appear with the same full rights as the previous shares. Result is they can offer some new shares and the existing shareholders are no worse off. I suppose it could be argued if the company raises the $5mil the shareholders are actually $5mil better off without any share dilution.

I believe the broad intent is to use $2mil to 'seed' a new set of Retail and Wholesale Dow Funds with the remainder to be used for a major marketing promotion with the intent of lifting FUM to at least $300mil.

I'm obviously no expert though. If you're interested, I'm sure if you contact the office they'd sent you a Prospectus which has the full details.

 I think you should read more carefully before you start commenting Jackie .

I note that Simon nominated you as an "old " friend. Maybe he noted a few grey hairs from stress creeping in JP.... :p
