Doind a duplex development and finally got my DA through
Let the agent know I need the house back and we have to give them 60 days notice as there is no lease in place.
The problem is, this will only leave me a week or 2 to demolish the house and get everything else ready for the builder, as the quote to build is only good until 20th November and I'm sure the builder will increase the price at any opportunity.
The tenants have said they plan to leave on 16th November, but 10th November is 60 days, so will have to spek to the agent about that.
I'm thinking about an incentive for the tenants to motivate them to move earlier, current rent is $320/week. My thought was to offer them $100 for every full week they leave before 10th November.
So they can get $800 if they leave today, or $100 if they leave 1 week early.
Every week is important here.
Any other ideas?
Really need to get them out so my building costs don't go up another 5% or so.
