No more property investing.

If investing/trading in residential/commercial property was banned, what would you do?
This is assuming you could only hold a single PPOR per household.
What's your plan for financial freedom now?

Geez what an outlandish situation, the economy could not function....this would mean there wouldn't be any REITs even? Rather than be banned, which is inconceivable, perhaps you mean that Neg gearing on resi property was abolished and losses must carry forward?

In any case, I'd do what I do now. Focus on private business generating strong cash flow, and reinvest in domestic and international equities for the long term. Probably continue to upgrade PPOR too, CGT free asset.

Start your own business and invest in other businesses (aka shares)

Already doing that nowadays. No more real estate investments for me.

Cheers,
Oracle.

I would invest in one unique primary residence with good growth prospects with view to sell after a period of time and downsize and invest in shares to live off income.
