For anyone considering going in as an owner-builder in NSW the ground rules are changing.
The biggies include not being able to purchase home warranty insurance - so it may become more difficult to finance or sell an OB property
All owners/co-owners are restricted for a period of 5 years from undertaking further OB works.

Plenty of other changes affecting the industry in general eg: maximum deposit for works over $20k will increase from 5% to 10%
