nz stats - some regional data re local projects (ie micro)

Hi Guys,

Some local stats - for the full info dig up qv websites and pdf'son the net.

CITY HOUSE PRICE GROWTH BEATS NATIONAL AVERAGE.

Growth in Invercargill house prices is exceeding the national average. Invercargill house prices rose 14% in the year to June according to the latest figures from QV valuations. The national average rise was 11.5%.

The average house sales price for invercargill in the last quarter was $144,835.

QV calculates the figure in the following way: residential sales complied for the previous 3 months are compared to the same period of the previous year to identify the annual percentage change in property value.

Other increases included:

Aucland city 6.7%

Wellington City 10.5%

Nelson 3.1%

Christchurch 11.3%

Dunedin 5.8%

Queenstown Lakes 5.3%

This particular article has just reported cities with positive growth.

For those of you with south island property you may be interested in these links. I would rather just post the websites rather than post the media spin on it.

This is significantly because natural energy sources off the north island are becoming exhausted according to the tv one news on thursday.

P.S I have an article about the lignite plant and the 20mill land buy up if anyone wants a copy. Otherwise all is quiet. No new projects from us really but looking for some new challenges. Got one? email me at [email protected]

P.p.s - Don't come to the south island this week - it snowed the otherday and we are all freezing. Even those born a breed.
