Rolf,
My partner and I currently have a split (fixed & variable - each $102,000) home loan with the IMB. Because we split the loan, the IMB gave us a discount on the interest rate (4.2% instead of 6.07% currently) until 30th November 2002.
After reading Jan's new book, I would like to change the variable portion ($102,000) to a line of credit. There is a $500 fee to make the change. Would it be worthwhile to change it now to a line of credit or in November when the discount ends.
