I actually live in Elwood and have a few properties in the suburb, am think of getting this one because they are underselling it (will go for about 550,000 to 600g in my opinion which is cheap considering the land size). House in the same street went for 910 couple weeks ago on ony slightly bigger block (renovated though.

Any keen renovators have any suggestions with what they would do to the front of the house and what it would cost for that??? I usually buy and keep but am interested in trying my hand at buying, fixing and selling. But I need to learn pretty damn quick!

Cheers

Carlo

Firstly I want to tell you that there are 1'000s of people who read this
forum, and friends of mine have shown deals to the forum before they had
them under contract, only to have them snatched away. On asking the
agent they where told the other person found it "though some internet
message board"

So if you are really keen on future deals, I suggest you keep them under
wraps.

However, as this one's out of the bag (so to speak), have a look at this
site. This is a SA site mentioned in the chat room a few days ago, and
they look to do great things. There must be a Mel evquivalent...

Jas,
There are plenty of deals and openness should be encouraged. We don't all live like TW and See Change. Would make for a very boring forum. I think anyone who fights for a property is an idiot anyway. No one is that good. Get over that (actually TW doesn't have to cos she has never bought anything) and you will become a 'free' investor. The only property you will never have any competition for is one in which only you are interested in!
