Painting Deck

Hi all, we have a old deck around part of the pool. It's treated pine and has been stained with an awful colour.

I do not wish to sand/strip back and re-stain. Instead I am wanting to paint with a bold colour.

Anyone else painted their decks who can share their experience ? (ie- what product they used, flaking issues, etc...)

2 bits of advice:
1. Don't use a water based paving paint - use an old-based one like: http://www.whiteknightpaints.com.au/specialty-paints/paving/paving-paint
2. Use an anti slip paint additive.

i made the mistake of thinking it would be cheaper to whitenight a deck then replace the boards cost me around $80 for a small tin and it was lucky to even coat half the deck with one coat might be worth sussing out sam before buying it
