Will be looking for one pretty soon. So anyone knows someone who is good & reliable?? 
For pest inspections we have used Doug O'Brien from Pestmovers a couple of times in the past.

Hey folks
these are a few i've come across as an agent that my clients have used and that i would be happy to use myself after dealing with them professionally.
Twinspectors - 1300 304 145 (they have a termite dog!! and thermal imaging equipment - very professional)
Able Building Inspections - Colin Whincop - 0414831168 or 33005933
Metropolitan Property Inspections - Cass Simeone - 0403254416 or 32455709
Building Inspection and construction Specialists - David Handy - 0400541704 or 33541715
there are others, just can't find their cards at the moment - will post them if they turn up. There are dozens of lousy ones around - so choose carefully - main points are to get a fixed price for both services (most will do this - dependent on the size of the house etc.) find out what sort of report they give you. the good ones like twinspectors above send an email with pictures and full write ups of what they find.
do not settle for a one page tick and flick sheet as the report - they should be fairly in depth. Make sure you check their qualifications too...its only a short course to become an inspector - make sure that they are actual builders and proper pesties.
Most building inspectors will arrange the pest for you as they have a number of guys the usually work with - just check the price as i mentioned.

And also is his rate based on the size of your house? If so, what's the size?
Is it just building inspection or both with pest inspection as well?

Are we allowed to say who definitely NOT to use? The one I used completely missed quite a few live 240v naked wires sticking out of the side of the house, it was as obvious as anything. And no, not in the yard, against the house, it should have been spotted.
What I cant believe is the guy that was there before (who started about 50 projects and finished 0) had 4 kids running around !!!!!
