PIA update

Is there a PIA update in the pipeline
the interface is looking very dated, and this is one of the main reasons ive held off purchasing
what advantage does PIA give over a good
spreadsheet????

also whats the latest software version
ive seen references to version 7.0
is this a major upgrade, is there a demo??

Version 7.0 of PIA has been released, but not officially. (This means that it is now being shipped with new orders but has not yet been made available to the large body of existing users). The main new feature is its ability to handle line of credit type finance. The priority for the interface is that it be easy to use. To this end there have been some cosmetic changes and updated documentation. If some users think that the interface is "tired", they are welcome to make suggestions as to how we can "wake it up" without taking away its ease of use. Information on the new version will be made available at www.somersoft.com.au/pia as soon as it is officially released.

Hi Ian,

Just following up to see how the progress of the update is going. I noticed that in the information page on PIA (http://www.somersoft.com.au/pia/) it is written:
"You must have a registered copy of the current version (V7.0) to take advantage of any free maintenance updates."

Does that mean that the updates are not far away?

I am interested in particular for the ability to handle LOC finance.
