Pics of Your Pets!

After seeing some pics of pets already in the other topics, I thought it would be cool to have a topic where people can post pics of all their pets.

Plus because we all like to talk about our fur babies, feel free to write the weirdest things your pets do.

I have two golden retrievers.

The girl likes to hunt beetles, grab them in her mouth and spit them out...over and over again, and then gives a confused look when the beetle stops moving and playing with her because it has selfishly chosen to die. Or even better when she eats it and then searches for it and wonders where it has gone.

The boy likes to dig in his shell pool. What he is digging for. I do not know.

Bix has just turned 7 and is Mr Serious and Mr OCD. He freaks out if things aren't done a particular way such as will only get into the back of car on the driver's side and not the passenger side or will only go about things in the correct order. He is a good communicator though - has an inside wolf for when he wants something ie water bowl is empty, doggy door closed. He will wolf and then I'll walk over to him and will herd me to where the problem is that needs to be fixed.

Bailey is 2.5 and is the adventurous boundary pusher. We got her to keep Bix company for when we moved north and thought he would be spending his days on his own. Turns out Bix is a bit of a loner and doesn't really crave that companionship. Bailey is the 'people person' and I'm always in her line of sight but she doesn't get anxious if we leave. The first few months we had her I nearly gave her away - we were lucky wit Bix where he was the perfect puppy and didn't set a paw wrong whereas Bailey.... would chew and destroy everything in sight! Then when she turned one it was almost overnight she became the near perfect dog. She still pushes boundaries and destroys things on the odd occasion but she is now more the bringer of things than anything else and when she brings you something she has the hugest smile on her face and is so pleased with herself her whole body wiggles with happiness, which is also her nickname - Wiggle as when she's happy her wagging tail moves her whole body.

I may or may not have an instagram page for my 2 dogs...

Mani is named after the community she was born in. (Maningrida) and cosi is short for well ... She never had a name and had to name her on the spot at the vet were like Ahhh cause , cos, oh cos that'll work, so she was named cosi.

They are both sisters and very loyal and happy dogs, cosi has 3 legs after a recent car accident

Mani is with the red collar cosi is in the white and blue collar

Here a recent pic of them now

My Dog Cruiser and cat Flash. Both so annoying.

We have 4 hens and 2 dogs (and our dogs are trained to not eat the hens, and they are often left together unsupervised. I have been unable to teach my dogs anything but the most basic command - sit - but I have trained them so they don't eat a chicken, despite the odd bit of "lip licking"... go figure).

Pictured is Madeline, our Faverolle hen.

Awesome dogs and great back yard. Is your block 600m2 or bigger?

Makes me wonder what I'm doing living in an apartment.

Are blocks like yours easy to find at decent prices in Brisbane?

Love this thread; adds a bit more of a human aspect to the folks behind the sigs..

Here's our fleabag; Harvey - rescued from the RSPCA animal shelter.

Permanently attached to the rugrats..

1600m2 block... that size isn't common. In my area right now a 400m2 block sells for $350 000. 10 k's from the CBD, so very lucky to have a nice big backyard.

We actually purchased the 1600m2 block as an IP. It backs onto our PPOR block. So we moved the fence to steal 800m2 of the IP's back yard and added it to ours. So now we have an L shaped 1600m2 block. See pic: the PPOR is the yellow outline and the IP is the red outline.

The 1600m2 block cost $370k at a mortgagee auction in 2012. After all reno costs, stamp duty, etc... I spent a total of $410 000 on the property. It got valued a year or so ago for $550 000 by the bank.

The dogs absolutely love the big backyard, they run around like crazy. We have chickens behind that cream pool fence section you can see in the previous pic and the dogs love to run up and down tormenting chickens.
