Plan to buy a Land and built it up

Hi,

I am planning to buy a Land in NSW(Hills area) and then build a Home on Later stage. This is the first time i am thinking of buying a Land. I need suggestion what to take care into consideration before buying land. I am thinking to subdivide in future. What are the basic requirements to subdivide the land.

1. Jump onto the council website and download their DA guide

2. Contact the Hills Shire council and speak to their town planner but be very specific with your questions. They are free but have very limited time.

3. Be very careful of excavation and site costs - always add 30% on top of your building site costs.

Any future lot will need to meet the minimum lot size in the zone.
