We are very seriously considering covering our two storey deck, facing west, with the new synthetic/wood/composite decking. The one we are looking at has great colours and woodgrain look. Have heard it gets very hot on very hot days but we would not be out there then, inside with the a.c. Also dragging a steel chair across it could gouge it. Anyone had any experience with it?

Some of the new composites are fantastic. My builder has been using one and it even seems to contract over nails etc so you can't see them.
