Population growth

Where would you obtain the actual statistics for population demographics and growth for a particular suburb?

Is the Beaurea of Statistics the only source for this information, and does anyone know the details (eg- name of the report, how often it comes out, price etc).

What I'm after is info on how many people are moving to my chosen suburb each year (a small NSW coastal town) from the city. Do they have reports available that show these sort of statistics, including where the people are actually moving into the area from? And also, predictions of population growth for future years?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm looking for the same thing (particularly for regional centres in NSW).

I did come across the following on the ABS site:

These two might also be of interest, one is paid unfortunately - feel free to email it to me if you decide to pay for it ;-)

Many of the ABS publications are in local libraries, usually in the reference section.
You typically won't want more than a page or two. You can always photocopy the pages you want or use a trusty pen.
