Privately managing and the ATO

What sort of records would suffice to the ATO that I have leased my property out privately?

At the moment all I have is the tenancy agreement form, and an excel file of transactions.

Do I need deposit slips/receipts etc?

It's only for a short term 2 month lease until they are ready to move into their new place.
 
I'd say the tennacy agreement is a pretty good start.

Did you collect a bond? If so it should be lodged with the appropriate NSW authority.

You probably don't have to produce receipts, but I believe the tenant is entitled to one if they want it.
 
As above lodge the bond if you have received one, on short term lets esp pre-demolition I often don't bother with the bond.

Receipts are only required where the tenant pays cash direct deposit is their receipt.
