Property Boundaries

Any one have experience where a property boundary is not fenced correctly?

I have found a property that appears to have the fence line well inside the property boundary.

What are the implications for the neighbouring property?

Hi cathyb

Talked to my council about this very topic with a house I owned a decade ago. Basically if the fence is roughly in the right spot either property owner can move it to the boundary at their own expense.
If the fence is grossly incorrect then both owners are supposed to share the expense to have it moved.
