Property in a hottish market - gas smell

URGENT help needed

desperately wished to make an offer to a property in a hottish location. the house is priced at market rate and in relatively good location and area

however during my inspection, i noted gas smell in the kitchen (potential gas leak in the pipes)

what should i do ? should i :

- make an offer based on my findings and have it fix myself?
- give them what they ask for and fix it myself?
- give them what they ask for and have them fix it first?
- let it go
