pups4sale

I haven't had a litter of pups for sale for yonks but now I have some and didn't quite know the up-to-date way to advertise them, since I'm not really a kennel with website etc.
I googled pup for sale and came up with this site www.pups4sale.com.au
I put my ad in, only $13 or so compared to $48 for Saturdays newspaper, and already I have one pup to be flown down to Sydney.
Internet is amazing nowadays.
By the way, if you want to see a pic of my pup (one of two left to sell) my breed is Schnauzer Standard Rare Black. :)

I will be selling some Spoodle pups to in about 5 weeks time. Rosie the Wonder Dog had ten pups. Five golden and five black!

Thanks for the URL Brenda - I will bookmark it.

Be careful with sites like that... personally I'd want to know where the dogs would be going. Ie what sort of people.. the dog breeding industry can be pretty nasty and I'd hate to think some of your dogs would be bought by people who put them into breeding mills to supply the evil pet stores... thats mostly an issue with gourmet pure bred dogs but can happen with any really as pet stores aren't exactly known to be all the wise (or caring) as to what blood lines their animals come from.

What a shame, no lemon border collie girl pups for sale. :(

I'll just have to keep looking. Any other websites like this that people know of?

Cheers,
Michael.

Well, it takes 2 to tango and males are very much needed in the process... either way, hope it all works out well for you and the pups :)

I had to come back to check the color (Lemon). I am trawling through petlink.com Do you know how rare Lemon is? Like finding hen's teeth!

So, are these pups second generation spoodle (both parents spoodles), or is Rosie a real poodle and dad a spaniel ?

Rosie is F2 Spoodle and the Sire was a black miniature poodle.

Rosie is a non shedder and very good with allergies. I wont get into the old argument about a truly allergy free dog but my daughter and I both have allergies and we can put our faces into Rosies fleece and we have no symptoms whatsoever. the daughter cant even enter a home with a cat or dog inside let along pat one.

These pups should make good family pets. They are being raised inside with two kids handling them so they will be well socialised plus the litter is a large one so they will be socialised with other dogs. I am happy to keep them until 8-10 weeks which I believe will see them learning some important lessons from Mum about behaviour. Maybe Brenda can comment about the 6wk vs 8wk thing.

Here are some pics of Mum and the pups. Rosie is a little scruffy as we let her get quite shaggy over winter and through the pregnancy. She does polish up nice with a trim although I like the curly shaggy look.

Those are at about a week old.

She is a wonderful pet and totally loyal to me and the family. She has been fetching the paper since she was old enough to drag it and loves walking, swimming etc. Don't need a lead except for the stupid rules.

I absolutely adore her.

Vet told me 4-5 pups so I only found homes for three. She had 10 which embarrassed the vet a little as to his ultra sound techniques.

Local petshop sells them for $1200 and god knows where they come from. I will be charging less than that. I do want to be really fussy about who gets them and I hope they all go to nice single people, couples and families. These are not dogs to leave outside all week then play a bit on the weekend. These are dogs that respond wonderfully to being part of a family group or at least having the run of the house with an owner.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I was never planning to advertise them this early. We haven't even decided which one we will keep yet!

my brother breeds sharpeis... the rolly dogs, i dunno how he sells them though.

ne1 tried ebay?

hahaha

They wont do animals which is probably pretty sensible. Trading Post does letr you advertise pets and I was planning on using it and the local paper for my pups.

I would have been interested but my landlord does not allow pets. Sorry :(

Joking- but you know where I am coming from :)

Yeah - he grudging let me have one "outside" dog. The PMs knew she was an inside dog but they chose to lie to the owner.

Don't know whether to tell him I now have 11 dogs. Maybe I should and then he will be relieved when it gets down to just 2 dogs.

I will probably sell most of them locally by word of mouth. Just now a friend who sometimes sits Rosie when we are away told me she wants one.

ciao

Yes Simon, keep the puppies 8 weeks minimum. The interaction in the litter helps them to learn that they are dogs, not children. It saves a lot of behavoural problems later on.

My Schnauzers have hair instead of fur and a non dog smell and low allergy coats. I say low allergy nowadays as some people have really bad allergies.

I sold a pup once to a little girl with allergies and all was well until the pup went outside and walked through the garden plants, collecting pollens on her coat. I had to collect the puppy and refund the money as the little girl really got short of breath from the pollens on the puppy.

Must have broken that little girls heart to lose her Schnauzer puppy - they are such gorgeous dogs. We have one named Oscar living down the street and he is a very cocky young fella!

Big issue with "Designer Dogs" too. Can't believe all the different oodles popping up now trying to cash in on the Labradoodle and Spoodle phenonomen. Even saw a Roodle the other day which was a Rottweiler x Poodle.

I usually tell people Rosie is a Poodle cross or just a mongrel depending on my mood at the time. The whole Spoodle thing can get a bit wanky sometimes.

They are wonderful family dogs though and I wouldn't swap her for anything - even though I currently am having a battle of wills with her as I type. She wants to feed her puppies at my feet and keeps bringing them to whatever room I am in. Unfortunately the puppypoo is currently the same shade as babypoo and I am trying to keep on the good side of the missus by keeping the carpet it's neutral shade ...

As a spoodle owner (and yes, I paid $1200 to a pet shop as I could not find a breader in or near Sydney), I know just what you mean, so good to hear such an attitude to dogs, should be more of it.

Beautiful photos, made me and my wife very happy, thank you so much.

Been thinking of a friend for our doggie too, hmmmm.
