Question about making an offer.

Fellows, I'm about to make an offer on a property that's fulfilled my requirements. I'm planning to do this monday (6/10/08) or tuesday (7/10/08).

I have created my own Letter of Offer template based on information found on the web and this forum. it includes things like:

- deposit $500 payable after 7 days of acceptance.
- subject to building and pest inspection...
- subject to finance approval...
- settlement 21 working days, etc, etc

and so on.

The idea is that I will call the REA tomorrow, tell him what my offer and conditions are, and fax the document. But, should I contact my solicitor first, show him my letter, and wait for the heads up from him? (In case he suggests I should add another clause). what is the normal process?
