Radius maps??

For want of a better term :)

Does anybody know of a mapping software thingy that I could put in a suburb (or postcode) and then draw a circle say 5kms-10kms etc??

Cheers

Might be one of those things that is a lot easier with a paper map, a pencil and a compass.

Or you could try drawing a polygon in Google Earth....

I don't know if this helps but I use the CD version of the UBD street directory.

It allows me to calculate distances by following a specific route.

For example I can start from the property and follow the streets to get to the school, train station etc and see how far away they are.

Cheers

Just buy a map from your local newsagency or bookshop- the more detailed ones have radius lines already on them- highly useful and easy to see at a glance how far from the CBD you are "as the crow flies", that is :D
Real driving distances, obviously, are quite different

Thank you so much softmonkey. Great tool

I agree with all the suggestions of "get a map and draw" is MUCH easier.
But I was looking at a town that I did not have a map of.

This tool is GREAT thanks.
