Regional development Victoria..

For the interested "bush" investors:

RDV supports regional Victoria to:

-create vibrant and dynamic regional communities and economies

-facilitate new investment by funding infrastructure for strategic projects

-deliver integrated programs and strategy to grow a sustainable business economy

-prepare integrated regional plans and implement a state-wide blueprint

-deliver jobs and investment across Victoria through resilient, competitive and productive regional economies.

Support is largely delivered through Ready for Tomorrow: A Blueprint for Regional and Rural Victoria which was launched in June 2010 and contains a range of programs and initiatives aimed at continuing to build a prosperous and sustainable future for regional and rural Victoria.

Regionally-based staff work closely with organisations and individuals to help develop investment, jobs, exports and communities. Staff are accessible at Victorian Business Centres (VBCs) located in Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Shepparton, Traralgon, Wangaratta and Wodonga. Each centre is a first point of contact for businesses and communities seeking access to government services and expertise. RDV also has a presence in Ararat, Bairnsdale, Colac, Echuca, Horsham, Seymour, Warragul and Warrnambool.

That ma be victoria bnut i am looking for new developments in the toowoomba, pittsworth, oakey way in south east qld.

Anyone know any areas here that are booming i am currently looking at oakey. Steady growth, good rental returns. Large land blocks and if bypass is approved then it will be an "outer suburb" of toowoomba.

Welcome btw.:)

Joycenmat the state gov't sites can be useful, plus the shire states for each shire you maybe interested in, there can be little gems tucked away.

As well as reports from the ABS (Ozzy bureau of stats).

We have the Victorian Valuer General's Office put out a Guide to Victorian Property Values (yearly), which has really interesting data, my current lot goes back to 1985, showing historic trends/growth, it's really interesting, not necessarily what I ever base my investing on, but appeals to my inner nerd.:p

Not sure what your QLD equivalent is.

Ah ok. Thanks for that. I am also seeing some good NSW areas just on websites etc.

If only Property investing had buyers groups! :p
