It all depends when the owner is living there.

Thanks guys, so it is obviously very important to discuss with our accountant a plan for which name/s should go on the title. I assume however, that land tax is not the only thing a good accountant will consider.

The first year I was eligible to pay land tax I just got a bill.

LT isn't a symbol of eligibility it is the hallmark of liability.

Hi Terry, so if owner lives from 1 May and leaves on 1 Jun (1 month) when spouse moves in for 5 months till 1 Nov, will there be land tax payable then?
