Remote ceiling fans

I presume having a remote for light ceiling fan does not require
a secound wire run back to the light switch ????

Yes, fit a remote and you have on and off at the switch and on and off and speed at the remote. Note that you must also fit a light to the fan as it willtake over the light wiring. Must cheaper that rewiring but still needs an electrician to fit.

Thanks Peter.

That's what I thought no secound wire required..

The new twin and earth TPS cables are a lot thinner than the old ones, use the old twin running to the light switch as your draw wire.
The new cable has three conductors, red, black and earth. If you really want to do it properly after stripping the outer sheath put some tape or heat shrink over the yellow and green so it is no longer I deities as a an earth.
That is if you would prefer to keep it hard wired.
